Custom Windows

Every property is different, which is why standard-sized windows are not always the right solution. At GFT Frames Limited, we provide custom windows made to suit the individual measurements, style and practical requirements of your project.

Whether you are replacing an unusual window, renovating a period property, completing an extension or working on a new development, our team can help you create windows that complement the building and perform beautifully for years to come.

Made-to-Measure Windows

Custom windows are manufactured to fit the specific dimensions of your opening, providing a neater appearance and a more suitable solution than trying to adapt a standard product.

Made-to-measure windows are ideal for:

Unusually sized window openings
Period and character properties
Extensions and loft conversions
New-build homes and developments
Commercial and trade projects
Replacing windows with a distinctive shape or design

From individual replacement windows to larger project requirements, GFT Frames Limited can help you select the right specification.

Window Styles to Complement Your Property

The design of your windows can make a significant difference to the appearance of your home or building. Depending on your project and chosen window system, custom designs can include:

Casement windows
Flush casement windows
Tilt-and-turn windows
Sliding sash-style windows
Bay and bow windows
Fixed and picture windows
Arched, angled and shaped windows
Multi-panel window configurations

Our team will help you consider the appearance, ventilation, ease of use and available space when choosing the most appropriate style.

Choose Your Colours and Finishes

Custom windows give you greater control over the finished look. Choose a colour and finish that blends naturally with your property or creates a striking contemporary contrast.

Available options may include classic white, modern grey and black, as well as traditional wood-effect finishes. Depending on the selected system, you may also be able to choose different colours for the interior and exterior of the frames.

Finishing touches such as handles, opening configurations and glazing designs can help make your windows truly individual.

Glazing Designed Around Your Needs

The right glazing can improve comfort, privacy and the overall appearance of your windows. Options can be selected according to the room, location and requirements of your property.

These may include:

Energy-efficient double or triple glazing
Obscure glass for bathrooms and private areas
Decorative glazing for added character
Toughened or laminated safety glass where required
Acoustic glazing to help reduce outside noise

GFT Frames Limited can explain the available choices and help you identify a suitable glazing specification for your project.

Improve Comfort and Energy Efficiency

Poorly fitting or ageing windows can allow heat to escape and cold draughts to enter. Modern custom windows are designed to fit the opening correctly and can provide improved thermal performance when combined with suitable frames and glazing.

Replacing older windows may help to:

Reduce unwanted draughts
Retain more warmth inside the property
Improve year-round comfort
Reduce noise from outside
Refresh the appearance of your home

Security Built into the Design

Your windows should help you feel safe in your property. Custom windows can be specified with strong frames, secure locking mechanisms and appropriate glazing to provide added reassurance.

Our team can discuss the security options available for your chosen window style and help you make an informed decision.
